She lives alone in an herbalists workshop after the presumed death of her sister, Nio.
During a visit to her grave, Ayesha witnesses a vision of her sister.
She is then told by a traveling alchemist that her sister is in fact not dead, just "missing".
The story follows Ayesha and her quest to find her missing sister.
The gameplay is divided into two core segments: Combat and Synthesis.
Combat, like previous installments, is conducted in a turn-based manner.
In this newest installment, players can now strategically position their characters to deal more damage or provide extra support to teammates.
Super moves are also reintroduced, where characters unleash devastating attacks conducted through a cinematic.
Synthesis, the other core half of the game, involves gathering supplies and using your alchemy to create items to be given to NPC's for quests, used in combat, or used for mana or health regeneration.
Higher quality item yield higher quality results in terms of quest material, damage, and regeneration.
The game features a time management system, meaning the game must be completed in 3 years of in-game time.
There shouldn't be an issue with completing it on time, but if not completed on time, you are given one of the 10 different possible endings.
About Nintendo Switch
Released in 2017, the Nintendo Switch became one of the best-selling consoles of all time thanks to its hybrid handheld/docked design. Its cartridge-based physical format (as opposed to discs) has made complete-in-box collecting popular again, with certain limited print runs and Nintendo-published exclusives already commanding a premium on the secondhand market just a few years after release.
Gamevaro tracks Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk DX for Nintendo Switch with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk DX to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This NSW release dates back to 2020.

Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
