About this game

Catherine follows the story of Vincent Brooks, who is caught between his girlfriend Katherine McBride, who may be pregnant, and Catherine, a 22 year-old blonde he met at the Stray Sheep, a bar he hangs out at.

Since his encounter with Catherine, Vincent has been having nightmares every night.

The nightmares are puzzle-platforming sections shaped as tower-like levels in which Vincent must climb to the top by pulling and pushing blocks.

While he climbs, the level falls apart, and sheep characters try to shove him back down.

Along the way, the player can learn various climbing strategies to adapt to different situations.

In some levels, a giant boss tries killing Vincent with a multitude of attacks.

After (or rather before) the nightmares, Vincent hangs out at the Stray Sheep.

In this bar, he can send and receive text messages, drink, talk to people or play an arcade game called Rapunzel (a series of 8-bit-like short climbing levels) until he goes back to sleep.

When Vincent has to make choices, a blue and red gauge appears.

This gauge indicates whether Vincent is more inclined towards law or chaos, which will influence the game's ending.

Apart from the story mode, there is Babel, a special challenge in which one or two players have to climb as high as they can to achieve new records.

Babel must first be unlocked by meeting certain conditions in story mode.

About PC

PC gaming spans over four decades, from early DOS titles to today's massive Steam and digital-storefront libraries. Because "PC" covers everything from 1990s CD-ROM releases to current AAA titles, it's the single largest platform by game count on Gamevaro. For collectors, PC gaming splits into two very different worlds: physical big-box releases from the 1990s and 2000s (increasingly collectible, especially complete-in-box with original manuals and inserts) and the modern digital library, which Gamevaro tracks for portfolio and spending purposes even though it has no resale market.

Gamevaro tracks Catherine (itch) for PC with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.

Adding Catherine (itch) to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This PC release dates back to 2018.

Rarity & condition

No market sales have been tracked yet for Catherine (itch) — this could mean it rarely changes hands, or simply that Gamevaro hasn't recorded a sale for it yet. Be the first to add it to your collection.

Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
