The game takes place in Pywel, a large, seamless open world characterized by political instability, rival factions and supernatural forces.

Players assume the role of Kliff, a mercenary and member of a group known as the Greymanes.

Following a devastating attack by a rival faction called the Black Bears, the Greymanes are scattered, and Kliff sets out to reunite the surviving members and rebuild the group while pursuing the Black Bears' leader, Myurdin.

As the narrative progresses, additional playable characters such as Oongka and Damiane become available, each with distinct combat styles and abilities.

Gameplay combines open-world exploration with a complex combat system.

Players can use a variety of weapons, including swords, axes, spears, and ranged equipment, often enhanced with elemental effects.

Combat encounters range from small skirmishes to large-scale battles and boss fights against enemies such as mythical creatures and mechanical constructs.

The system also allows for environmental interaction, including throwing objects and using terrain to gain advantage, as well as mounted combat on horseback.

In addition to combat, the game features a wide range of activities typical of open-world role-playing games.

Players can engage in fishing, hunting, cooking, crafting and resource gathering, which contribute to character progression and equipment upgrades.

About PC

PC gaming spans over four decades, from early DOS titles to today's massive Steam and digital-storefront libraries. Because "PC" covers everything from 1990s CD-ROM releases to current AAA titles, it's the single largest platform by game count on Gamevaro. For collectors, PC gaming splits into two very different worlds: physical big-box releases from the 1990s and 2000s (increasingly collectible, especially complete-in-box with original manuals and inserts) and the modern digital library, which Gamevaro tracks for portfolio and spending purposes even though it has no resale market.

Gamevaro tracks Crimson Desert for PC with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.

Adding Crimson Desert to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This PC release dates back to 2026.

Rarity & condition

No market sales have been tracked yet for Crimson Desert — this could mean it rarely changes hands, or simply that Gamevaro hasn't recorded a sale for it yet. Be the first to add it to your collection.

Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
