About this game

Shaun Preston and Allie are two North American journalists stationed at the exotic Aristo Island, sent by their newspaper to cover the upcoming celebration festivities for Prince Adrian Karedes' 30th birthday.

While working and gathering information, they soon stumble upon a plot against Adrian.

Allie must decide between professional impartiality or her feelings towards the prince.

Harlequin Presents: Hidden Object of Desire is a straightforward hidden object title based on a romantic novel series.

One of the series book is included as a PDF file with the game.

Most of the time, the objective is to find and click on all the items from a list at the left side of screen, on various locations related to the plot and cluttered with assorted objects scattered through the scenery.

The hint button shows the position of one of the required items, but takes some time to recharge after use.

The hint meter can be quickly refilled by collecting the Harlequin logos hidden on the scenes, or by finding two list items in succession.

There are mini-games between some of the locations that take place on a separate interactive screen.

In the course of the game, the player has to guide Allie through a maze of hotel corridors and flip all the red squares on the path, reassemble a shredded invitation, remove pairs of jewels, click on the differences between two similar images, play a code-breaking game on a laptop computer to find the correct password for an encrypted memory card, and complete other similar challenges.

About PC

PC gaming spans over four decades, from early DOS titles to today's massive Steam and digital-storefront libraries. Because "PC" covers everything from 1990s CD-ROM releases to current AAA titles, it's the single largest platform by game count on Gamevaro. For collectors, PC gaming splits into two very different worlds: physical big-box releases from the 1990s and 2000s (increasingly collectible, especially complete-in-box with original manuals and inserts) and the modern digital library, which Gamevaro tracks for portfolio and spending purposes even though it has no resale market.

Gamevaro tracks Harlequin (itch) for PC with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.

Adding Harlequin (itch) to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This PC release dates back to 2015.

Rarity & condition

No market sales have been tracked yet for Harlequin (itch) — this could mean it rarely changes hands, or simply that Gamevaro hasn't recorded a sale for it yet. Be the first to add it to your collection.

Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
