His first task is to get one of those trotmobiles.
From there, the game opens up with many options.
You navigate your trotmobile through the game world, sometimes encountering enemies on the way (mostly of robotic kind).
The combat is done in real time.
You'll also visit many cities and talk to various characters.
There are branching dialogues which allow you to treat people differently.
Though there is a central plot in the game, there are many subplots and game modes.
For example, you can turn your trotmobile into a bus and drive people around.
Other modes include a dating sim, a music/rhythm game, a stock-market game, and numerous other play modes.
About PlayStation 2
The PlayStation 2 (2000) is the best-selling game console in history, with a library exceeding 9,000 titles that spans everything from budget shovelware to genre-defining classics. That massive volume means PS2 collecting is accessible and affordable overall, but a handful of low-print-run RPGs and cult titles have become genuinely expensive — a common pattern once a console's original audience grows up with disposable income.
Gamevaro tracks Steambot Chronicles [Trade Demo] for PlayStation 2 with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Steambot Chronicles [Trade Demo] to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This PS2 release dates back to 1970.

Rarity & condition
No market sales have been tracked yet for Steambot Chronicles [Trade Demo] — this could mean it rarely changes hands, or simply that Gamevaro hasn't recorded a sale for it yet. Be the first to add it to your collection.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
