The game includes the same licensed teams and players as other versions, with more than 570 teams and more than 14000 players available.

Game modes include single matches, tournaments and challenges (asking players to recreate 61 feats from real matches).

There is also online play and the interactive leagues mode known from other versions, in which players play their favorite team against other players online according to the real-life schedule.

Manager mode and the new Be-A-Pro mode have not made it to the Wii version.

Two different control options are available: the Family Play option (intended for beginners and families) uses only the Wiimote.

The athletes move along the pitch automatically and the player's only task is to pass and shoot.

The advanced controls use the Nunchuk for movement and the Wiimote for basic actions.

Advanced moves require the combined use of both controllers, with much of the same depth as other versions: crosses, through passes and distance shots are possible.

To learn the complexities of the advanced controls, a football academy mode is available from the main menu or, optionally, during a game, with new lessons appearing whenever they are needed.

Footii Party mode is an exclusive mini-game mode hosted by a Mii avatar of Brazilian superstar Ronaldinho and played using players' Miis.

The three available games are Juggling, Boot It and Table Football.

Juggling is a rhythm game where buttons must be pressed or motions be made when indicated on the screen to keep the ball in the air.

Boot It asks players to shoot at indicated points of the goal by swinging the remote in the proper direction.

Table Football is a rendition of the popular real-life game, with the Wiimote used to simulate the table handles.

About PlayStation 3

Released in 2006, the PlayStation 3 had a rocky start thanks to its high launch price but became known for its exclusive franchises and Blu-ray drive, which doubled as an early home theater upgrade for many households. PS3 collecting is still relatively young — most titles are inexpensive — but the console's digital PSN storefront closure risk has pushed more collectors toward physical copies specifically to preserve access.

Gamevaro tracks FIFA Soccer 08 for PlayStation 3 with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.

Adding FIFA Soccer 08 to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This PS3 release dates back to 2007.

No market sales have been tracked yet for FIFA Soccer 08 — this could mean it rarely changes hands, or simply that Gamevaro hasn't recorded a sale for it yet. Be the first to add it to your collection.

Condition matters a lot for collector value: loose (cartridge/disc only), complete-in-box (CIB, with original packaging and manual) and factory-sealed copies are tracked separately because the price gap between them can be significant, especially for older releases.
