In the game the player takes control of Spartans Sarah Palmer and Edward Davis and replays missions in a simulator of various battles in which they took part fighting against the Covenant.

The game takes place between the events of Halo 3 and 4 .

The game uses twin-stick controls and allows the use of familiar halo weaponry, such as the Assault Rifle, Battle Rifle, Needler and Energy Rifle.

In various missions it is also possible to take control of various vehicles, both from the UNSC and Covenant.

The game features five campaigns with five missions each.

Each campaign has distinct environments and missions have different objectives, ranging between defending a base, escort, clearing areas or reaching a certain location.

A sixth campaign can be bought as DLC on the Windows (Phone/Tablet/PC) version of the game.

This DLC is included by default in the console version of the game.

After completing each level, a number of stars (bronze, silver, gold) is earned based on the number of points scored during a level.

Depending on the number of stars, the player earns experience.

Experience can be used to purchase better weapons, abilities and boosters at the start of a level.

Levels can also be played with "Skulls", up to two modifiers that make the game more difficult, but give the player a multiplier in experience points once completed.

Skulls include such things as making enemies tougher, giving the player only shields but no health, or only allowing shields to recharge when meleeing an enemy.

The game also comes with weekly challenges and specific challenges for each level that allow the player to unlock additional rewards.

The console version of the game comes with five two player co-op missions in which players must complete defend or destroy objectives in levels swarming with huge hordes of Flood.

About PlayStation 4

The PlayStation 4 (2013) cemented Sony's dominance of the eighth console generation, with a library exceeding 30,000 titles once indie and digital-only releases are counted. Most PS4 games remain affordable for collectors, but limited physical print runs — particularly from smaller publishers and later in the console's life cycle — are starting to see steady price increases as digital storefronts eventually wind down support.

Gamevaro tracks Spartan for PlayStation 4 with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.

Adding Spartan to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This PS4 release dates back to 2017.

Rarity & condition

No market sales have been tracked yet for Spartan — this could mean it rarely changes hands, or simply that Gamevaro hasn't recorded a sale for it yet. Be the first to add it to your collection.

Condition matters a lot for collector value: loose (cartridge/disc only), complete-in-box (CIB, with original packaging and manual) and factory-sealed copies are tracked separately because the price gap between them can be significant, especially for older releases.
