Agartha (Dreamcast) Demo
Sega Dreamcast · 2001
About this game
Agartha is a canceled survival horror game that would have revolved around the mythical underground city of the same name.
Set in a Romanian village in the winter of 1929, the protagonist was Kirk, an old man who finds himself battling against the evil residing within Agartha as it tries to escape to the surface.

Kirk would have crossed paths with the local villagers, the living dead, fanatical cultists, monsters, demons, soldier monks, priests, archangels, and even the Sentinel, the ultimate personification of evil.
The game would have featured an inventory with various items that could be collected and used as well as third-person combat with a gun.
In addition to the single player story mode, an online component was planned that would have seen players taking part in team play or deathmatch modes.
Agartha was announced in 1998 with an expected release date of 1999.
As of September 2000, the new expected release date was 2001, but in mid-2001, the game was canceled due to SEGA 's decision to stop development of the Dreamcast and its games.
About Sega Dreamcast
Sega's final console, the Dreamcast (1998/1999), was ahead of its time with built-in internet connectivity and an influential library, but a short commercial lifespan cut its game catalog short. That abrupt end means Dreamcast print runs were smaller across the board than a longer-lived console would have had, and it's now one of the more actively collected fifth/sixth-generation systems specifically because of that scarcity.

Condition matters a lot for collector value: loose (cartridge/disc only), complete-in-box (CIB, with original packaging and manual) and factory-sealed copies are tracked separately because the price gap between them can be significant, especially for older releases.
