In the European version they were replaced by national teams, but some playing modes are still reminiscent of the original.

The available modes are exhibition matches, tournament, league, cup and all-star (the teams are divided into two leagues and the overall winner is decided with play-offs).

With the option "You're a Hero", the player can create a new athlete, change his stats with a few training lessons and swap it with an existing one.

The player either controls the athlete who has the ball or, when in defense, the one who is nearest to it.

The field is shown from a slightly angled side-perspective.

During most modes, all teams can be taken over by human players, but only two can play at the same time.

About Super Nintendo Entertainment System

The Super Nintendo Entertainment System (1990/1991) is widely regarded as home to one of the strongest first-party libraries in gaming history, from Super Metroid to Chrono Trigger. It's a mature collecting market: iconic RPGs and late-cycle releases (which typically had smaller print runs as the industry moved toward the next generation) are consistently among the most sought-after and valuable cartridges from the 16-bit era.

Gamevaro tracks Prime (Prototype) for Super Nintendo Entertainment System with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.

Adding Prime (Prototype) to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This SNES release dates back to 1994.

Rarity & condition

No market sales have been tracked yet for Prime (Prototype) — this could mean it rarely changes hands, or simply that Gamevaro hasn't recorded a sale for it yet. Be the first to add it to your collection.

Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
