About this game

In the region of Fiore, the delicate balance between people, Pokémon, and nature is protected by Pokémon Rangers, stalwart youths who use a device called a "capture styler" to capture panicked and troublesome Pokémon by encircling them with a Capture Disc.

It's up to the player, as a new Pokémon Ranger, to stop the plans of the Go-Rock Squad, who plan to capture Legendary Pokémon and use them for evil.

The game makes innovative and extensive use of the touch pad, requiring players to use their stylus to circle Pokémon on the bottom screen, sometimes calling on the abilities of already-captured Pokémon to assist with special moves, marking a great departure from the usual RPG-based gameplay that the Pokémon franchise is known for.

Outside of battle, Pokémon may also be called upon to clear obstacles like hay bales, metal fences, and dead trees with "Field Moves" like Burn, Cut, and Tackle, similiar to the Hidden Machines (HMs) of previous Pokémon installments.

Players will travel between four different towns, play through over ten missions, and have the opportunity to capture over 200 different Pokémon in this game that has been billed as a prelude to the next generation of Pokémon.

About Nintendo Wii U

The Wii U (2012) was commercially Nintendo's least successful home console, hampered by market confusion over whether the GamePad tablet controller was a new device or a Wii accessory. Its low sales mean smaller overall print runs across the board, and several first-party and indie darlings have already become noticeably pricier than their commercial performance would suggest, since there are simply fewer copies in circulation.

Gamevaro tracks Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs for Nintendo Wii U with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.

Adding Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This WIU release dates back to 2010.

Condition matters a lot for collector value: loose (cartridge/disc only), complete-in-box (CIB, with original packaging and manual) and factory-sealed copies are tracked separately because the price gap between them can be significant, especially for older releases.
