Crimson Dragon

They build a massive city and reshape the land, but a virus called Crimsonscale quickly decimates the new inhabitants.

The city collapses and the remaining humans, called Seekers, create the Icarus Division to commune with the Draco dragons.

A hundred years later, humans are able to tame and ride dragons but are still small in number.

The player's character starts as a member of the Icarus Division.

The game is played from a third-person perspective where movement through the background is done automatically as in a rail shooter without the ability to determine the speed or general direction.

The player is however able to maneuver the dragon and its rider on the screen, to avoid obstacles and projectiles through barrel rolls or to attack from a specific direction, along with the ability to move the reticule independently through dual stick controls.

There are six types of dragons of available and they can gain experience to level them up with a selection of over 100 hundred skills.

Dragons have different types of attacks that can be switched on the fly.

Items enhance specific skills and weapons can be assigned to slots.

There are both straight shot attacks and lock-on attacks similar to those in Child of Eden .

Dragons are managed, customized and fed in the Dragon Roost similar to many Pokémon games.

Further light RPG elements are introduced through the ability to recruit wingmen.

These fly along and can be ordered to protect the rear or fight in front.

It also opens up a smart bomb attack that can clear the entire screen.

Kinect's voice commands can be used to navigate the menus and to order the wingmen, but the use is optional and can also be done through the D-pad.
