In 2006, Codemasters announced a new version of Sensible World of Soccer, developed by Kuju Sheffield, for the Xbox 360 to be released in summer 2007 on Xbox Live Arcade.
It features both the classic "retro" visuals of the original SWOS, as well as new improved high definition graphics, and retains the exact gameplay of the 96/97 version of Sensible World of Soccer.
Due to problems with the game's network performance, the release was delayed in order for "significant proportions" of the network code to be rewritten.
After missing several previous release dates, the game appeared on Xbox Live Arcade on 19 December 2007 but was quickly pulled.
A statement from Microsoft confirmed that an incorrect version of the game had been made available, in which online play was not possible.
The fixed version of the game was released two days later on 21 December.
The Windows version was never released.
About Xbox 360
Microsoft's second console, the Xbox 360 (2005), is remembered for popularizing online multiplayer through Xbox Live and for a notoriously high hardware failure rate (the "Red Ring of Death") — which ironically makes well-preserved, working units and complete game cases more collectible today. Physical 360 games are still generally affordable, though limited Kinect-era peripherals and bundles are becoming harder to find complete.
Gamevaro tracks Sensible World of Soccer for Xbox 360 with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Sensible World of Soccer to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This X360 release dates back to 1994.

Rarity & condition
No market sales have been tracked yet for Sensible World of Soccer — this could mean it rarely changes hands, or simply that Gamevaro hasn't recorded a sale for it yet. Be the first to add it to your collection.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
