In the first part of the game, the player has to swim out of the sunken plane and find a life-raft.

One of the plane's turbines will then explode, knocking out the player and sending the raft off into the ocean.

The player then wakes up in the middle of nowhere with only a few items (such as a knife, lighter and a raft paddle) for survival.

The main objectives of Stranded Deep are to swim to different islands, scavenge for food and water and build shelters in order to survive.

Additional tools, weapons and resources can be crafted by using the various materials found on the various islands.

The world is randomly generated, offering almost infinite variety for the world, islands, shipwrecks and items that the player can find.

While the world is randomly generated, a combination of numbers can also be input to generate a different world.

One of the newest features of the game allows the player to create custom islands that can be placed in the vast expanse of ocean.

While fending off hunger, thirst and illness is a major priority, the player also has to be careful of dangerous sharks that can attack and knock the player off their raft.

While some sharks aren't aggressive, other species (such as Tiger Sharks and Great Whites) will usually circle the player's raft before attacking.

The sharks can also drag players deeper into the ocean if they hit the player.

The player can free themselves from the shark's bite if they keep hitting them with the currently-equipped weapon.

About Xbox One

Microsoft's Xbox One launched in 2013 alongside the PS4 and leaned heavily into backwards compatibility and subscription services like Game Pass. Because so many Xbox One owners moved to all-digital libraries, physical Xbox One cartridges — sorry, discs — in good condition are comparatively less common on the secondhand market than their PlayStation equivalents from the same era.

Gamevaro tracks Stranded Deep for Xbox One with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.

Adding Stranded Deep to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This XONE release dates back to 2015.

Rarity & condition

No market sales have been tracked yet for Stranded Deep — this could mean it rarely changes hands, or simply that Gamevaro hasn't recorded a sale for it yet. Be the first to add it to your collection.

Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.

What's the difference between loose, CIB and sealed for Stranded Deep?

Loose means cartridge or disc only, CIB (complete in box) includes the original box and manual, and sealed means factory-sealed and never opened. These are tracked as separate market values because the price gap between them can be significant, especially for older releases.
