About this game

Thimbleweed Park is a point-and-click adventure with a design similar to graphic adventures games released in the 1980s and early 90's, such as Maniac Mansion (1987) and The Secret of Monkey Island (1990) the main developers previously worked on.

The game consists of eight parts and is set in 1987 in Thimbleweed Park, a city with a population of eight.

A man is found murdered and the FBI agents Angela Ray and Alberto Reyes are sent there to solve the case.

The game uses a classic control mechanic with verb commands such as "use", "pick up" and "talk to" to interact with the characters and the environment.

Progress is based on furthering the story and solving puzzles.

There are several items to collect and they are stored in an inventory.

During the course of the game five characters become playable, but Ray and Reyes are the main ones.

Just like in Maniac Mansion , for a large part of the game it is possible to switch between the two characters at any moment.

They need to work together to solve puzzles, sometimes by being in different locations.

They each have their own inventory and can trade items with each other.

The other characters often have their own slices of gameplay through self-contained flashbacks, such as Dolores the computer programmer of Ransome the clown, but in other parts they all work together.

The game has a humorous tone and often breaks the fourth wall.

The game can be played in a casual mode with easier puzzle or in a traditional, hard mode.

The game has a built-in, context sensitive hint system.

At any moment it is possible to call an in-game hotline and gets hints on what to do next, based on the current context.

All characters are voiced.

The game both saves automatically and supports manual saving.

There are no death states in the game.

Optionally small specks of dust can be collected in several locations.

About Xbox One

Microsoft's Xbox One launched in 2013 alongside the PS4 and leaned heavily into backwards compatibility and subscription services like Game Pass. Because so many Xbox One owners moved to all-digital libraries, physical Xbox One cartridges — sorry, discs — in good condition are comparatively less common on the secondhand market than their PlayStation equivalents from the same era.

Gamevaro tracks Thimbleweed Park for Xbox One with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.

Adding Thimbleweed Park to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This XONE release dates back to 2017.

Rarity & condition

No market sales have been tracked yet for Thimbleweed Park — this could mean it rarely changes hands, or simply that Gamevaro hasn't recorded a sale for it yet. Be the first to add it to your collection.

Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
