When the Planeteers combine powers, a superhero - Captain Planet, guardian of the Earth - is summoned.
The powers of Gaia keep watch over the world, and assign the Planeteers to where they are needed.
Captain Planet and the Planeteers is an action sidescroller game divided into two sections: inside levels and outside levels.
Outside levels usually put the Planeteers in some kind of vehicle which can move in any of eight directions on the screen.
The planeteers can use any of their elemental powers, drained from an energy bar: Fire shoots a fireball directly ahead, Water shoots out a water wave, Wind lets loose defensive air currents, Earth tosses stones out of the earth and Heart calms animal creatures.
Touching an enemy or projectile results in instant death.
Inside levels summon Captain Planet himself, who can punch or turn himself into a swirling version of any of the five elements.
Captain Planet can also move/fly in any of eight directions and also can only take one hit before dying.
Power-ups can also be found on these levels.
About Commodore Amiga
The Commodore Amiga (1985) was ahead of its time technically — multitasking, custom graphics and sound chips — and built a passionate following in Europe in particular, where it rivaled and often outsold contemporary consoles. Amiga collecting today is a niche but dedicated hobby: original boxed software on floppy disk is comparatively scarce since floppies degrade, making well-preserved complete copies genuinely valuable to the right collector.
Gamevaro tracks Captain Planet and the Planeteers for Commodore Amiga with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Captain Planet and the Planeteers to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This AMIGA release dates back to 1992.

Market insights
Rarity & condition
Captain Planet and the Planeteers has a steady sales history on the tracked marketplaces, meaning enough copies circulate to establish a reliable market price.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
