Backyard Football 2006 is a single-player and multiplayer arcade-style American football game.

It features the complete roster of 32 National Football League teams, each represented by logos, uniforms, and stadiums, along with the option to create a custom team from scratch.
Players draft a lineup from the series’ signature Backyard Kids and from child versions of well-known NFL stars such as Donovan McNabb, Daunte Culpepper, and Tom Brady.
Gameplay follows simplified American football rules in shorter, fast-paced matches.
The player’s goal is to outscore the opponent by stringing together passes, runs, tackles, and touchdowns within the time limit.

Two main play modes are available.
Single Game offers a one-off match against the computer or a friend, while Season Play spans an entire schedule, tracking wins, losses, and statistics.
Success in season mode can lead a team to the Backyard Bowl championship.
