The game is separated into two modes of play: the 3D exploration mode and the 2D platforming sections.
The 3D exploration mode is how Sabreman gets around the eight different themed worlds of Sabre Wulf.
While there are no enemies in this mode, there are plenty of people to talk to, who might help you in your quest.
Also strewn about are more than fifty 2D platforming levels, which you can access through the wulf's head tunnels.
The point of the 2D levels is to get the Wulf's treasure through a mixture of platforming and puzzle solving.
Sabreman can jump, but he can't attack on his own.
That is why he'll need to use the abilities of the fifteen different creatures found in the game.
The creatures' abilities range from offensive power to getting Sabreman to a higher ledge.
Learning when to use these abilities is essential to navigating the Wulf's Lair, and claiming the treasure as your own.
About Game Boy Advance
Nintendo's Game Boy Advance (2001) offered near-SNES-level graphics in a handheld and became a home for excellent ports as well as original titles across nearly every genre. GBA cartridges are generally durable and plentiful, making it an approachable platform for new collectors, though a few late-release RPGs and limited exclusives have become genuine chase items.
Gamevaro tracks Sabre Wulf for Game Boy Advance with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Sabre Wulf to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This GBA release dates back to 1984.

Market insights
Rarity & condition
Sabre Wulf has a steady sales history on the tracked marketplaces, meaning enough copies circulate to establish a reliable market price.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
