Against him stands the masked rebel Zorro.
Unfortunately Zorro gets captured and is imprisoned. 20 years later he manages to escape prison and trains a successor to continue his quest.
Regarding gameplay, this is a side-scrolling platformer with a focus on fencing.
The fighting mechanics allow Zorro to perform different moves, including blocking, in order to hit the enemies.
Each character has an energy bar which decreases when hit and leads to death when it is empty.
About Game Boy Color
The Game Boy Color (1998) added a color screen to the original Game Boy formula while remaining backwards compatible with the entire existing cartridge library. Its colorful, semi-transparent cartridge shells make it a visually distinct platform for shelf collectors, and several late-cycle exclusives — released just before the Game Boy Advance took over — are notably harder to find complete today.
Gamevaro tracks The Mask of Zorro for Game Boy Color with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.

Market insights
Rarity & condition
Only a handful of market sales have been tracked for The Mask of Zorro, suggesting it doesn't trade hands very often — a sign of relative scarcity compared to more common Game Boy Color titles.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
