About this game
God Medicine is a fantasy JRPG featuring a story in which three elementary school children traverse between the real world and a tangible video game world.
Three RPG fans - Naoto, Kensuke, and Miki are devastated when their favorite anticipated title, Phantom, is cancelled after a lightning strike destroys the game developer.

On their way home, they stumble into a shack on the outskirts of town and witness a fierce battle: a great demon fighting a trio of warriors.
The warriors are defeated; however, before passing on, they imbue the kids with their souls and powers.
The children then find themselves transported into the unfinished game world of Phantom, tasked with saving both the game and their own world.
The gameplay follows standard RPG conventions: leveling up through battles, equipping weapons and armor, and learning spells.
A distinctive feature is the “Mafū” (まふう) gem system, which lets players embed special gems into weapons to unlock unique effects that vary with each character.
Some Mafū attacks require charging during battle, and charges persist between encounters.
