Dakar 2: The World's Ultimate Rally
Nintendo GameCube · 2003
About this game
Dakar 2 is a racing game, of course simulating the famous Paris-Dakar Rally.
Although not the real 6000 kilometers can be crossed in the game, the rally mode takes the player through 12 tracks all the way from France to Dakar.

The tracks lead racers through cities, forests, and the desert.
Most of them are simple tracks, but there are desert tracks where the player can drive around freely, finding the checkpoints faster than the opponents.
The player can choose from the officially licensed cars, trucks, and bikes from Dakar 2002, but only vehicles of the same type can compete in a race.
There is also an arcade racing mode, where all the tracks and vehicles that have been unlocked in rally mode can be selected, as well as a split-screen mode for two players.
About Nintendo GameCube
Nintendo's GameCube (2001) used a compact optical disc format and was the company's first console with online capability, though it never matched the PS2's commercial success. GameCube discs are comparatively durable, making complete-in-box collecting approachable, while a handful of Japan-only and limited-release titles (some tied to promotions) are the platform's genuine chase items.
Gamevaro tracks Dakar 2: The World's Ultimate Rally for Nintendo GameCube with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Dakar 2: The World's Ultimate Rally to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This GCN release dates back to 2003.

Market insights
Rarity & condition
Only a handful of market sales have been tracked for Dakar 2: The World's Ultimate Rally, suggesting it doesn't trade hands very often — a sign of relative scarcity compared to more common Nintendo GameCube titles.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
