Gameplay modes include Quick Play for a single exhibition match, Challenge (similar to a season, with one game against every team) and Series (best-of-7 World Series match).
Progress in Challenge and Series modes is saved via passwords.
The game includes licensed teams and players from the 2003 MLB season, along with six different ballparks.
Gameplay largely follows the traditional model: pitching and batting are seen from a view behind the batter, while the view switches to an isometric view of the field once the ball is away.
The standard features of Midway's sports games can also be found here: players have a turbo meter that can be used to enhance their moves, and they can catch on fire after several successful plays, enhancing their abilities even further.
About Nintendo GameCube
Nintendo's GameCube (2001) used a compact optical disc format and was the company's first console with online capability, though it never matched the PS2's commercial success. GameCube discs are comparatively durable, making complete-in-box collecting approachable, while a handful of Japan-only and limited-release titles (some tied to promotions) are the platform's genuine chase items.
Gamevaro tracks MLB Slugfest 2003 for Nintendo GameCube with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding MLB Slugfest 2003 to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This GCN release dates back to 2002.

Market insights
