You play as the future Scorpion King Mathayus who is an Akkadian by birth, a tribe famous for their assassination skills.

Magus, a dark lord is planning to resurrect his dark master.

Mathayus is sent on a simple assassination task but it soon turns out there is more going on than meets the eye.

He embarks on a journey to stop Magus which leads him to ancient Egypt, Crete, the underworld and Babylon.

As the story progresses you fight a variety of enemies including men, beast and mythological creatures.

You fight the enemies hand to hand or with up to eight weapons (swords, staffs, gloves) in a variety of environments.

Power-ups for strength and endurance can be found in cracks in the floor or walls and concept art can be unlocked by collecting rubies scattered around the levels.

Dwayne Johnson who plays Mathayus in the movie voices his character in the game.

About Nintendo GameCube

Nintendo's GameCube (2001) used a compact optical disc format and was the company's first console with online capability, though it never matched the PS2's commercial success. GameCube discs are comparatively durable, making complete-in-box collecting approachable, while a handful of Japan-only and limited-release titles (some tied to promotions) are the platform's genuine chase items.

Gamevaro tracks The Scorpion King: Rise of the Akkadian for Nintendo GameCube with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.

Adding The Scorpion King: Rise of the Akkadian to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This GCN release dates back to 2002.
