To begin with, set 8 years before the events that took place in Castlevania , the count has kidnapped the young sister of Cornell, a powerful werewolf.
As Cornell, the player must battle through the castle and defeat Dracula to save Cornell's sister.
Once completing the game as Cornell, the player may take up the role of Henry, a demon-hating hero who must save captured children from the hands of Dracula within a set time limit.
The player may then take on Dracula once again as the original heroes of Castlevania 64 , Reinhardt Schneider and Carrie Fernandez, and re-live the events of the previous game through new and improved surroundings.
About Nintendo 64
The Nintendo 64 (1996) stuck with cartridges after most competitors moved to CDs, trading longer load times for near-instant game access and durability that's held up well over nearly three decades. N64 cartridges are largely intact and functional today, and while common titles are affordable, several late-release and multiplayer-focused games with smaller print runs have become firmly established as valuable collector pieces.
Gamevaro tracks Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness for Nintendo 64 with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This N64 release dates back to 1999.

Market insights
Rarity & condition
Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness has a steady sales history on the tracked marketplaces, meaning enough copies circulate to establish a reliable market price.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
