About this game
Hiro Miyamoto, the leader of the Miyamoto clan of martial artists, meets one day a stranger who brings bad news.
Kage Mishima, the archenemy of the clan, has stolen the magical sword Daikatana, which allows the one who wields it to bend the fabric of time and change reality.

In addition, Mishima's minions kidnap Hiro's friend Mikiko.
He must rescue her, travel to different time periods, and put an end to Mishima's ambition.
This version of Daikatana is quite different from its PC and console counterpart, being a top-down action game with puzzle-solving, somewhat similar to Zelda games, though with less character customization and more focus on dungeon-crawling.
Two companions eventually join Hiro; some of the puzzles can only be solved with their aid.
The dungeons, which represent locations of different cultures and time periods, usually conclude with boss fights.
About Nintendo 64
The Nintendo 64 (1996) stuck with cartridges after most competitors moved to CDs, trading longer load times for near-instant game access and durability that's held up well over nearly three decades. N64 cartridges are largely intact and functional today, and while common titles are affordable, several late-release and multiplayer-focused games with smaller print runs have become firmly established as valuable collector pieces.
Gamevaro tracks Daikatana for Nintendo 64 with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Daikatana to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This N64 release dates back to 1999.

Market insights
Rarity & condition
Daikatana has a steady sales history on the tracked marketplaces, meaning enough copies circulate to establish a reliable market price.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
