The player must compete against three opponents and travel around a board to be the fastest one to fully raise their Tamagotchi.
Up to four players can compete against each other, with a computer opponent replacing any missing players.
The game can be played with each player using a different controller, or with all players sharing the same controller.
During gameplay, the screen is divided into two separate parts.
The top part of the screen shows the Tamagotchis in Doctor Banzo's house, while the bottom part of the screen shows the board and the players.
Each player moves by rolling a dice block, with the amount of spaces that they move being dictated by the number on the die.
The player's goal is to collect enough transformation power points to evolve their Tamagotchi a certain amount of times.
The Tamagotchi's progress towards evolution is represented by the bottom guage on the top screen.
The player can earn transformation power points through various methods, such as landing on certain spaces marked with a plus sign or by completing minigames.
If each player is using a separate controller, there are ten minigames to play, while if all players share the same controller five minigames can be played.
There are various other spaces which can be landed on, such as spaces which grant cards that the player can use or accident spaces, which can either give or take away transformation power points.
In addition to the transformation power points, the player must also consider their Tamagotchi's mood and hunger gauges.
These gauges are presented on the top screen, and the higher they are, the more transformation power points the player can obtain.
After each player's turn, they can perform an activity with their Tamagotchi, such
About Nintendo 64
The Nintendo 64 (1996) stuck with cartridges after most competitors moved to CDs, trading longer load times for near-instant game access and durability that's held up well over nearly three decades. N64 cartridges are largely intact and functional today, and while common titles are affordable, several late-release and multiplayer-focused games with smaller print runs have become firmly established as valuable collector pieces.
Gamevaro tracks Minna de Tamagotchi World for Nintendo 64 with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Minna de Tamagotchi World to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This N64 release dates back to 1997.

Market insights
Rarity & condition
