It was ported to both the Sharp X68000 and the NEC TurboGrafx-CD in 1993.
The TurboGrafx-CD version was released on Super CD-ROM and features an enhanced redbook audio soundtrack and voice acting on the Japanese release.
The game was later ported to Sony PlayStation under the title Cotton Original in 1999.
The PlayStation release combines the enhanced digital CD-ROM soundtrack of TurboGrafx-CD release and the gameplay/graphics of the original Arcade version.
A version was ported to the Neo Geo Pocket Color in 2000.
Due to hardware limitations the Neo Geo Pocket Color features less detailed graphics and sound compared to previous versions, however it is still a faithful version of the original in terms of gameplay.
About Neo Geo Pocket Color
SNK's Neo Geo Pocket Color (1999) was a well-regarded handheld competitor to the Game Boy Color, praised for its analog stick and strong fighting-game library, but it exited the market early after SNK's parent company faced financial trouble. That short commercial life kept its library small, and complete, boxed copies — particularly of its fighting game ports — are a compact but genuinely collectible niche today.
Gamevaro tracks Cotton: Fantastic Night Dreams for Neo Geo Pocket Color with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Cotton: Fantastic Night Dreams to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This NGPC release dates back to 1991.

Rarity & condition
Only a handful of market sales have been tracked for Cotton: Fantastic Night Dreams, suggesting it doesn't trade hands very often — a sign of relative scarcity compared to more common Neo Geo Pocket Color titles.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
