About this game
Like its title suggests, Family Quiz: 4-nin wa Rival is a quiz game for up to 4 players.
At the beginning of the game, Player 1 will select the number of players participating in the quiz gameshow, the difficulty of the quizzes, whether you want to automatically assign player names and the type of minigame to play, which is one of the following: High Master Park: The first player who manages to press A on their controller gets to pick the answer.

A correct answer grants that player 100 points, or 200 points for the occasionally occurring double quiz.
A wrong answer will lose all points for that player.
The first player to reach 1000 points wins.
Panemaland: A correct answer in this minigame gives the player a piece to place on an 8x8 Reversi board, with all Reversi rules apply.
When the board is filled, the player with the most pieces wins.
Roulette Castle: A correct answer in this minigame gives the player a dice roll in a game similar to Pachisi , but with a simple 8x8 board as opposed to Pachisi's typical cross-shaped board.
The player's piece will move forward one square if it happens to land on a square occupied by another player's piece.
Selector World: A correct answer in this minigame gives the player a turn to flip 2 pieces in a game similar to Ravensburger's memory , but played with mahjong tiles instead.
In order to facilitate multiplayer for 4 players, this game uses the 4 Players Adapter accessory.
No, not the official rectangular American NES Four Score adapter, this refers to the aftermarket half-circle adapter by Hori that plugs into the Famicom expansion port.
About Nintendo Entertainment System
The Nintendo Entertainment System (1983 in Japan, 1985 in the West) revived the North American video game industry after the 1983 crash and established conventions — cartridges, licensing seals, save systems — that shaped the industry for decades. NES collecting is one of the most established retro markets: common titles remain cheap, but a well-known handful of low-print-run games (many from smaller third-party publishers) are among the most expensive video games in existence.
Gamevaro tracks Family Quiz for Nintendo Entertainment System with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Family Quiz to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This NES release dates back to 1988.

Market insights
Rarity & condition
Family Quiz has a steady sales history on the tracked marketplaces, meaning enough copies circulate to establish a reliable market price.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
