Hirake! Ponkikki
Nintendo Entertainment System · 1992
About this game
Hirake! Ponkikki was a long-running Japanese children's program similar to Sesame Street ; this game features the show's two main characters, Gachapin the dinosaur and Mukku the yeti, in a little friendly competition.
Five mini-games repeat over the course of five islands, and each island must be cleared of all five games before proceeding to the next.

The set-up is mainly intended for two players, with one player controlling Gachapin and the other Mukku.
In one-player mode, either character may be selected, but the CPU will not compete at any game other than rock-paper-scissors.
Players begin with a limited number of lives which may be lost by colliding with enemies or performing poorly at minigames; one extra life is also awarded at the end of each island.
However, there is also a password system which allows the game to be resumed from any island.
The minigames are as follows:* Platforming: Collect fruit while avoiding enemies in a slowly auto-scrolling platforming game.
Whoever gets the most fruit wins.
Shape Matching: Hurry to match the most shapes before time expires.
The Shell Game: Pick out the spaceship with the other character in five rounds of the shell game.
Rock-Paper-Scissors: Defeat the other character a set number of times at the classic hand game.
Maze Chase: Race against the other player to collect the most candy apples before exiting.
In later levels, avoid worms as well.
About Nintendo Entertainment System
The Nintendo Entertainment System (1983 in Japan, 1985 in the West) revived the North American video game industry after the 1983 crash and established conventions — cartridges, licensing seals, save systems — that shaped the industry for decades. NES collecting is one of the most established retro markets: common titles remain cheap, but a well-known handful of low-print-run games (many from smaller third-party publishers) are among the most expensive video games in existence.
Gamevaro tracks Hirake! Ponkikki for Nintendo Entertainment System with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Hirake! Ponkikki to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This NES release dates back to 1992.

Market insights
Rarity & condition
Hirake! Ponkikki has a steady sales history on the tracked marketplaces, meaning enough copies circulate to establish a reliable market price.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
