About this game

Most of the game's action takes place on the bottom of the DS's two screens, where colored meteors plummet downwards towards a planet's atmosphere.

There, they form columns that the user can manipulate with either the stylus or a combination of the D-pad and A button.

When three or more meteors of the same color are arranged either vertically or horizontally, they "ignite" and rocket up towards the top screen.

Rockets carry upwards any other metors that happen to be above them, and by stringing together several ignitions it is possible to lift many blocks at once.

The ultimate objective of the game is to lift as many metors as possible back into "orbit" in the top screen; the game is over if the bottom screen fills up completely with meteors.

Meteos features many different "planets" that the user can play on, each with subtle variations (such as in gravity) that affect gameplay.

About Nintendo DS

The dual-screen, touch-enabled Nintendo DS (2004) became the best-selling handheld of all time, helped by its huge and genre-diverse library. Cartridge-based DS games have held up well physically over 20 years, and complete-in-box copies of the system's biggest sellers (Nintendogs, Pokémon, Mario Kart) remain very accessible for new collectors starting out.

Gamevaro tracks Meteos [Not for Resale] for Nintendo DS with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.

Adding Meteos [Not for Resale] to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This NDS release dates back to 2012.

Rarity & condition

Meteos [Not for Resale] has a steady sales history on the tracked marketplaces, meaning enough copies circulate to establish a reliable market price.

Condition matters a lot for collector value: loose (cartridge/disc only), complete-in-box (CIB, with original packaging and manual) and factory-sealed copies are tracked separately because the price gap between them can be significant, especially for older releases.
