The player will travel across the region of Almia, using their Capture Styler (the stylus) to circle and capture over 250 different Pokémon.
Free mind-controlled Pokémon from the thrall of Team Dim Sun's machines, and call upon various Pokémon's Poké Assists and Field Moves to capture other Pokémon and clear obstacles.
Over 60 Quests are present for the player to take on, allowing them to power up their Capture Styler and meet even more Pokémon partners.
Over the course of the adventure the player will use different types of Stylers—culminating in the powerful Vatonage Styler, a tool that allows a Ranger to capture any Pokémon, friend or foe.
About Nintendo DS
The dual-screen, touch-enabled Nintendo DS (2004) became the best-selling handheld of all time, helped by its huge and genre-diverse library. Cartridge-based DS games have held up well physically over 20 years, and complete-in-box copies of the system's biggest sellers (Nintendogs, Pokémon, Mario Kart) remain very accessible for new collectors starting out.
Gamevaro tracks Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia for Nintendo DS with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This NDS release dates back to 2008.

Market insights
Rarity & condition
Only a handful of market sales have been tracked for Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia, suggesting it doesn't trade hands very often — a sign of relative scarcity compared to more common Nintendo DS titles.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
