About this game

It is a sliding-tiles puzzle game with adventure elements, where the objective is to help an animated character escape by connecting the rooms and creating a pathway to the exit gate.

The player can only move a room/tile when the character is inside it.
This character can move from room to room, if there's no barrier between them.
Like in most games, the levels get more complex as the player progresses through it.
The first levels have only a few rooms, but as the game progresses, new elements are introduced: locked doors, walls that need to be destroyed with explosives, ladders, teleporters, flooded rooms that kill the character and spinning rooms.
The sliding-tile levels take place in four mansions, presented as jigsaw maps.
The mansions have chests that contain inventory items.
Those objects are used in the separate adventure portion, where inventory puzzles have to be solved to win the four gold puzzle pieces necessary to finish the game.
The latest version of the game has the option of turning off the time limit.
About Nintendo DS
The dual-screen, touch-enabled Nintendo DS (2004) became the best-selling handheld of all time, helped by its huge and genre-diverse library. Cartridge-based DS games have held up well physically over 20 years, and complete-in-box copies of the system's biggest sellers (Nintendogs, Pokémon, Mario Kart) remain very accessible for new collectors starting out.
Gamevaro tracks Rooms: The Main Building for Nintendo DS with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Rooms: The Main Building to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This NDS release dates back to 2010.

Market insights
Rarity & condition
Rooms: The Main Building has a steady sales history on the tracked marketplaces, meaning enough copies circulate to establish a reliable market price.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
