Stardew Valley: Collector's Edition
Nintendo Switch · 2017
About this game
Stardew Valley is a farming and life simulation game in which the player inherits a neglected farm on the edge of a small rural community.
Leaving behind an unfulfilling city job, the protagonist sets out to restore the overgrown property while becoming part of the town of Pelican Town in the Stardew Valley region.

The game is open-ended, allowing players to decide how they balance farm development, social interactions, exploration, and other activities.
Heavily influenced by the farming and life simulation mechanics of Harvest Moon on the Super Nintendo, Stardew Valley reimagines its blend of agriculture, relationships, and community life within a more expansive, open-ended world.
Gameplay centers on clearing and cultivating farmland, planting and harvesting crops, raising livestock, and expanding the farm with new buildings and equipment.
Beyond agriculture, players can mine for resources, craft tools, fish in rivers and oceans, and venture into monster-filled caves where combat and resource gathering intertwine.
Social elements are equally important: townspeople can be befriended through conversation, gifts, and participation in seasonal festivals.
Some characters are romanceable, with the option to marry and start a family with children.
Daily energy management encourages careful planning, as farming, combat, and exploration all drain stamina.
Pushing your energy too low leaves you exhausted, slowing progress, while collapsing from zero health or staying out past 2 a.m. causes you to pass out and lose money or items.
The game also incorporates larger community choices and storylines.
Players may support the local community center by collecting bundles of items to restore its facilities, or instead ally with the Joja Corporation, which seeks to replace the town’s traditions with corporate expansion.
In addition to the central farming and social systems, the game includes side activities such as cooking, crafting, fishing competitions, and treasure hunting.
About Nintendo Switch
Released in 2017, the Nintendo Switch became one of the best-selling consoles of all time thanks to its hybrid handheld/docked design. Its cartridge-based physical format (as opposed to discs) has made complete-in-box collecting popular again, with certain limited print runs and Nintendo-published exclusives already commanding a premium on the secondhand market just a few years after release.
Gamevaro tracks Stardew Valley: Collector's Edition for Nintendo Switch with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Stardew Valley: Collector's Edition to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This NSW release dates back to 2017.

Market insights
Rarity & condition
Stardew Valley: Collector's Edition has a steady sales history on the tracked marketplaces, meaning enough copies circulate to establish a reliable market price.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
