About this game

Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty is a faithful remake of Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee where the pre-rendered sceneries are recreated in real-time 3D without changing the original gameplay.

It also replaces the single screens linked together of the original version into a true 2.5D side-scrolling game.

While there are various enhancements and details to the character and the scenery, the basic gameplay is still largely similar in a side by side comparison.

The GameSpeak system Abe uses to command and talk to other characters start with the same commands, but can later be expanded.

This version of the game supports leaderboards for the completion time of each mode and the overall game.

There are three difficulty levels and the game.

It includes the original cooperative function of the original game when another player can take over when the first player dies, taking turns controlling Abe.

About PlayStation Vita

Sony's PlayStation Vita (2011) was a technically impressive handheld that never found the commercial audience it deserved, leading to a comparatively small but well-regarded library. Because Sony discontinued cartridge production relatively early and shut down the PSN storefront for new purchases, physical Vita games — some produced in very limited numbers by niche publishers — have become a genuinely scarce, actively appreciating collecting niche.

Gamevaro tracks Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty for PlayStation Vita with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.

Adding Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This PS VITA release dates back to 2014.

Rarity & condition

Only a handful of market sales have been tracked for Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty, suggesting it doesn't trade hands very often — a sign of relative scarcity compared to more common PlayStation Vita titles.

Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
