About this game

Two nations exist in the Elemia Star System: the powerful Detrois Republic, and the much smaller Kingdom of Duminas.

After a dispute over airspace when Planet Duminas' orbit brought it near to a Detrois-controlled planet, war broke out, and Detrois launched a full-scale military invasion of Duminas, crushing its military, and capturing and executing its king.

However, many of the Duminas soldiers refused to surrender, and the Duminas Liberation Army was formed to continue the fight against Detrois rule.

Aubirdforce is a turn-based war strategy game set in space, which notably uses a full 3D play space for its strategy maps.

The player is cast as a captain in the Duminas Liberation Army, and commands their squad in interplanetary guerilla combat.

Apart from the 3D play space, the game system is similar to the Super Robot Wars series; each side takes turn moving and acting with all of their units, with various offensive and defensive options available depending on the unit type.

Attacked units have the option to respond by either counterattacking, defending, or evading.

The game is divided into a series of missions, with story sequences shown between.

Before each mission, the player must prepare their pilots and equipment loadouts.

Missions generally involve either destroying all or specific targets, or taking control of a specific location, and some missions consist of multiple parts which continue directly from one to the next.

Two versions of the game were released: the initial print run included a mini guide book and full-color disc art, while subsequent printings omitted the guide and had monochrome disc art.

About PlayStation

The original PlayStation (1994) brought CD-based gaming and 3D graphics to the mainstream, ending Nintendo's console dominance of the previous two generations. It's now firmly in "retro collecting" territory: original jewel cases with intact manuals command a real premium over disc-only copies, and several RPGs from its later years (when Sony deliberately courted the genre) are among the most expensive commonly-collected games from the era.

Gamevaro tracks AubirdForce for PlayStation with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.

Adding AubirdForce to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This PS1 release dates back to 1996.

Rarity & condition

Only a handful of market sales have been tracked for AubirdForce, suggesting it doesn't trade hands very often — a sign of relative scarcity compared to more common PlayStation titles.

Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
