About this game
The plot of Castlevania Chronicles is similar to that of the first Castlevania : in the end of the 17th century the dreadful vampire Dracula is resurrected after a century of slumber.
The people in Transylvania flee in horror, but the brave Simon Belmont takes his Vampire Killer whip and ventures into the ominous castle to put an end to the Lord of Darkness.

The similarities to the first installment of the series are also evident in the game's overall structure and basic gameplay, as well as in level design and usable items.
Most of the weapons and items from the first game return, with more rare and hidden items making an appearance.
Familiar stages have been re-designed, and many new stages are introduced as well.
The PlayStation version includes a new rendered intro and ending, enhanced music and graphic effects, as well as an easier difficulty level ("Arrange Mode").
The original difficulty level from the Sharp X68000 release is present as well ("Original Mode").
About PlayStation
The original PlayStation (1994) brought CD-based gaming and 3D graphics to the mainstream, ending Nintendo's console dominance of the previous two generations. It's now firmly in "retro collecting" territory: original jewel cases with intact manuals command a real premium over disc-only copies, and several RPGs from its later years (when Sony deliberately courted the genre) are among the most expensive commonly-collected games from the era.
Gamevaro tracks Castlevania Chronicle for PlayStation with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Castlevania Chronicle to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This PS1 release dates back to 2001.

Market insights
Rarity & condition
Castlevania Chronicle has a steady sales history on the tracked marketplaces, meaning enough copies circulate to establish a reliable market price.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
