Freeride - where the player(s) can practice in any location on any machine Extreme Trick - where players compete in a match at any location on any machine Rider Championship - where players compete in a series of matches at different locations, this mode has a choice of skill settings.
The players can choose between eight riders, four machines, and four locations.
There is no 'create your own rider' function nor can the machines be customised.
Matches are played against other riders, if there is only one human player then the game provides three other riders to play against otherwise it's a player v player game.
The players take it in turns to catch a wave and perform tricks such as cutbacks, big 720°, barrel riding etc.
These are scored on the degree of difficulty and the process is repeated as many times as possible during the match time with just the best three scores being totalled to find the winner.
Match time can vary between ten and forty minutes
About PlayStation
The original PlayStation (1994) brought CD-based gaming and 3D graphics to the mainstream, ending Nintendo's console dominance of the previous two generations. It's now firmly in "retro collecting" territory: original jewel cases with intact manuals command a real premium over disc-only copies, and several RPGs from its later years (when Sony deliberately courted the genre) are among the most expensive commonly-collected games from the era.
Gamevaro tracks Jetracer for PlayStation with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Jetracer to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This PS1 release dates back to 2001.

Market insights
Rarity & condition
Jetracer has a steady sales history on the tracked marketplaces, meaning enough copies circulate to establish a reliable market price.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
