About this game
GTC Africa (GTC meaning Global Touring Challenge) is a rally game for 1-2 players in a geographical setting of Africa.
The game could be seen as a follow-up to the developers previous game Wild Wild Racing though now we stay in one continent only, and use more ordinary rally cars.

The game has 9 cars used in 19 circuits in environments from cities to savannah and jungle, which can be raced individually or in one of three championships, either East Coast Championship, the North South Challenge or a full African Tour with all 19 circuits.
For 2 players, only the individual races are available, not the championships, which only allow one player racing against AI.
There is also a Practice and a Challenge mode, which consists of a mini-game on a mixed circuit.
Customization is only selecting Teams (with team colors, and cars) and choosing automatic or manual gearbox.
Driveable cars are: Ford Cougar Ford Escort RS Cosworth (Mk V) Ford Focus RS WRC (Mk I) Ford Mustang (Mk IV) Mitsubishi Lancer (Evolution VI) Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Pontiac Grand Am Pontiac Vibe Subaru Impreza
About PlayStation 2
The PlayStation 2 (2000) is the best-selling game console in history, with a library exceeding 9,000 titles that spans everything from budget shovelware to genre-defining classics. That massive volume means PS2 collecting is accessible and affordable overall, but a handful of low-print-run RPGs and cult titles have become genuinely expensive — a common pattern once a console's original audience grows up with disposable income.
Gamevaro tracks GTC: Africa for PlayStation 2 with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding GTC: Africa to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This PS2 release dates back to 2002.

Market insights
Rarity & condition
GTC: Africa has a steady sales history on the tracked marketplaces, meaning enough copies circulate to establish a reliable market price.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
