With nothing but a powered glider and his own wits, Hugo must find a way to survive until he can find a way back to the station.
Of course, he'll have a little help from the planet's natives -- innumerable species of migratory birds -- if he can earn their trust.
Aerial Planet is a sci-fi flight and survival simulation game set on a distant planet.
The game is divided into two sections: flight mode and camp mode.
In flight mode, the player controls Hugo as he pilots his glider.
It is possible to interact with the different types of birds, following their flight paths and recording their calls, which can be played back to communicate with them.
Through communicating with the birds and exploring ever further from the camp, the player can learn more about the planet, find additional camp sites, and ultimately figure out how to reach the research base.
While in flight, it is also possible to take photographs which can be reviewed later.
In camp mode, the player can review currently-active objectives, as well as check the known information for each bird type that has been encountered.
It is also only possible to eat and rest while at the camp, which Hugo must do in order to survive.
His stamina will steadily deplete while in flight, and flying in certain conditions such as rain and snow will cause his stamina to deplete more quickly.
About PlayStation 2
The PlayStation 2 (2000) is the best-selling game console in history, with a library exceeding 9,000 titles that spans everything from budget shovelware to genre-defining classics. That massive volume means PS2 collecting is accessible and affordable overall, but a handful of low-print-run RPGs and cult titles have become genuinely expensive — a common pattern once a console's original audience grows up with disposable income.
Gamevaro tracks Tori no Hoshi: Aerial Planet for PlayStation 2 with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Tori no Hoshi: Aerial Planet to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This PS2 release dates back to 2008.

Rarity & condition
Only a handful of market sales have been tracked for Tori no Hoshi: Aerial Planet, suggesting it doesn't trade hands very often — a sign of relative scarcity compared to more common PlayStation 2 titles.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
