Due to the growth of the population, food and energy became scarce and widened the gap between the rich and the poor.
Anarchy ensued and the government lost control of the situation.
People turned to the corporations to provide for safety.
Six corporations struggled for power and launched a full scale war, known as the Nation Dismantlement War.
A new order was established and Pax Economica was introduced, a system where loyalty guaranteed food and safety.
Five years after the establishment of the Pax Economica, the player takes the role of a member of the Ravens, a rebel group who wants to challenge the modern slavery by force.
The player controls a giant Mech, part of a squad, which can be assembled with the available parts, and customized with weapons, paint and aesthetic options.
On different locations all over the world, the player fights Mechs from the corporations in 30 missions grouped together in chapters.
At the end of each level, new parts become available and the Mech can be repaired with the wages.
Multiplayer is supported over the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live.
About PlayStation 3
Released in 2006, the PlayStation 3 had a rocky start thanks to its high launch price but became known for its exclusive franchises and Blu-ray drive, which doubled as an early home theater upgrade for many households. PS3 collecting is still relatively young — most titles are inexpensive — but the console's digital PSN storefront closure risk has pushed more collectors toward physical copies specifically to preserve access.

Rarity & condition
Only a handful of market sales have been tracked for Armored Core 4 [The Best Collection], suggesting it doesn't trade hands very often — a sign of relative scarcity compared to more common PlayStation 3 titles.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
