In this installment of the series, Jäger goes undercover to infiltrate a gangster organization in order to nail their bosses.
Each of the eight cases deals with another criminal and is divided into several missions in which the player alternately takes the role of Jäger or Gerkhan.
As usually, the story is only told with voiceovers.
Undercover abandons the open world concept introduced in Crash Time II and goes back to a mission based structure.
While there are still some missions which allow freedom, most of the time is spent in linear sections.
Most missions consist of normal races or checkpoint races.
Sometimes there is also a car chase; either as pursuer or hunted.
In the direct predecessors, the player already could use a handgun while driving: in this game there is an extended weapon selection, e.g. a nail board, oil or EMP.
The handling is action based and the player never leaves the car.
Multiplayer consists of regular races, checkpoint races and an elimination mode.
About PlayStation 3
Released in 2006, the PlayStation 3 had a rocky start thanks to its high launch price but became known for its exclusive franchises and Blu-ray drive, which doubled as an early home theater upgrade for many households. PS3 collecting is still relatively young — most titles are inexpensive — but the console's digital PSN storefront closure risk has pushed more collectors toward physical copies specifically to preserve access.
Gamevaro tracks Crash Time 5: Undercover for PlayStation 3 with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Crash Time 5: Undercover to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This PS3 release dates back to 2012.

Rarity & condition
Only a handful of market sales have been tracked for Crash Time 5: Undercover, suggesting it doesn't trade hands very often — a sign of relative scarcity compared to more common PlayStation 3 titles.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
