This game is a third-person shooter with levels located partly under water and inside said bases.
On land the game is a traditional cover-based shooter: the player uses 14 weapons with primary and secondary fire modes to shoot at the approaching enemies.
By pressing a button he takes cover and shoots from there.
Under water he dives, but the main change is that the enemies are mechanical drones which also can be destroyed in melee combat by mastering a quick time event.
The soldier also has a jet pack, grenades and a grappling hook in his backpack which is used to solve simple puzzles, stealthily kill guards by pulling them into the water or reprogram drones so they become friendly.
The levels are strictly linear.
About PlayStation 3
Released in 2006, the PlayStation 3 had a rocky start thanks to its high launch price but became known for its exclusive franchises and Blu-ray drive, which doubled as an early home theater upgrade for many households. PS3 collecting is still relatively young — most titles are inexpensive — but the console's digital PSN storefront closure risk has pushed more collectors toward physical copies specifically to preserve access.
Gamevaro tracks Deep Black for PlayStation 3 with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Deep Black to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This PS3 release dates back to 2012.

Market insights
Rarity & condition
Only a handful of market sales have been tracked for Deep Black, suggesting it doesn't trade hands very often — a sign of relative scarcity compared to more common PlayStation 3 titles.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
