Besides exploration and fighting, the game allows you to perform various other activities such as farming, cooking, crafting and fishing.
Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny is the second of its series to be released on the Wii and the first on the PS3 and it brings many new enhancements.
One of the newest additions is your Golem, which you will use to explore the ocean surrounding Fenith Island.
The combat has been updated from that of Frontier , adding new weapons such as Dual Blades and Katanas.
You now have the ability to unlock up to 4 farms, one for each season.
The Winter farm acts as a Mine where you can harvest ores and gems while the other three stay true to the series by having seasonal crops such as Cabbage in Spring, Corn in Summer, and Eggplants in Fall.
Nearly the entire game is now voice acted as well.
While you can play as a Male, in the end game there is an option to take over playing as the Female protagonist and marry one of 4 male choices.
About PlayStation 3
Released in 2006, the PlayStation 3 had a rocky start thanks to its high launch price but became known for its exclusive franchises and Blu-ray drive, which doubled as an early home theater upgrade for many households. PS3 collecting is still relatively young — most titles are inexpensive — but the console's digital PSN storefront closure risk has pushed more collectors toward physical copies specifically to preserve access.
Gamevaro tracks Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny for PlayStation 3 with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This PS3 release dates back to 2011.

Market insights
Rarity & condition
Only a handful of market sales have been tracked for Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny, suggesting it doesn't trade hands very often — a sign of relative scarcity compared to more common PlayStation 3 titles.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
