The gameplay remains pretty much the same, with some bigger adjustments for PlayStation Vita version to provide better gaming experience.
The player controls a spaceship viewed from top-down perspective, with the background constantly scrolling downward, thus making the player move upwards.
You can bump into any obstacle on the screen and will often have to navigate through narrow corridors, but you have a special teleport ability which left you move in a flash from one position to another even through solid objects.
Weapons are fired upward, while the bombs can be launched in any direction (with right analog stick on PSVita).
On PSVita teleporting can be done via touch screen or you can aim with a crosshair bubble and press button to initiate the shift.
Each mission's goal is to rescue as many survivors as you can by approaching their pods floating stranded in the space, and trying to deal with enemy spaceships trying to prevent you from rescuing survivors.
Turbo boost can be used to increase the scrolling speed and make your ship move faster, which is even required for certain levels that need to be cleared within a given time limit.
About PlayStation 3
Released in 2006, the PlayStation 3 had a rocky start thanks to its high launch price but became known for its exclusive franchises and Blu-ray drive, which doubled as an early home theater upgrade for many households. PS3 collecting is still relatively young — most titles are inexpensive — but the console's digital PSN storefront closure risk has pushed more collectors toward physical copies specifically to preserve access.
Gamevaro tracks Velocity Ultra for PlayStation 3 with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Velocity Ultra to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This PS3 release dates back to 2013.

Market insights
Rarity & condition
Only a handful of market sales have been tracked for Velocity Ultra, suggesting it doesn't trade hands very often — a sign of relative scarcity compared to more common PlayStation 3 titles.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
