Improvements over the last game include more detailed graphics and futuristic, high-tech backgrounds as completely new environment.
The goal of the game is to race on fantastical tracks with ramps and unrealistically high jumps and reach the finish with as few crashes as possible.
The game has a 2.5D environment, in that it is fully 3D modeled but players can only move on a single lane.
Career is the main game mode with skill challenges for each tier as an extra challenge next to the regular tracks.
Entirely new are level-specific challenges that can be completed for each track, for instance by restricting or forcing a certain riding style.
The player can hit gas and break to move, and lean forward or backward to balance the bike.
During long jumps player can perform mid-air stunts like back flips for bonus points.
New to the series is the ability to perform free stunts in the air and the addition of quad bikes next to the regular motorcycles.
In multiplayer mode, both offline and online, up to four players ride in individual lanes.
When a player crashes or goes off screen they respawn in a position close to remaining players.
The game contains a track editor to create custom courses in the Create mode, but unlike the previous game Trials Evolution it is no longer possible to create supercross courses.
Tracks can be shared and downloaded through the in-game Track Central.
About PlayStation 4
The PlayStation 4 (2013) cemented Sony's dominance of the eighth console generation, with a library exceeding 30,000 titles once indie and digital-only releases are counted. Most PS4 games remain affordable for collectors, but limited physical print runs — particularly from smaller publishers and later in the console's life cycle — are starting to see steady price increases as digital storefronts eventually wind down support.
Gamevaro tracks Trials Fusion for PlayStation 4 with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Trials Fusion to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This PS4 release dates back to 2014.

Market insights
Rarity & condition
Trials Fusion has a steady sales history on the tracked marketplaces, meaning enough copies circulate to establish a reliable market price.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
