The maps are all based on historical locations of battles during the war such as Argonne, Flanders, and a variety of others.

Weapons handling is realistic with weapon sway, bullet drop, and target leading.

Frontlines is the main game mode that recreates trench warfare and attempts to convey the tug of war nature of the conflict.

All maps are narrow lanes consisting of a series of trenches and each team has half the trenches.

One team attacks the currently active trench while the other team defends.

The attacking team must capture the enemy trench within the allotted time by having more players in the trench then the defenders.

If the attackers succeed the defenders are forced to retreat to their next trench line and defend that.

If the attackers fail, they must retreat to their trench line and they become the defenders and the opposition attacks.

This continues until the match timer runs out or if one team captures all the others trenches.

Rifle Deathmatch is like most other deathmatch modes in other games.

Each player is on their own and attempts to get more kills than everyone else before the match timer expires.

However, players can only choose from a selection of bolt-action rifles and carbines for weapons.

Attrition is simply team deathmatch, but unlike rifle deathmatch players can choose a wider selection of firearms.

Squad Defense is a four player cooperative mode where players must defend a series of trench lines from waves of oncoming, AI controller enemies.

Each successive wave of enemies becomes larger and larger.

If the players fail to defend a trench line, they must fall back and defend the next one.

There is no win condition and the lose condition is if players lose all trenches.

For Frontlines and Squad Defense, players are divided into fo

About PlayStation 4

The PlayStation 4 (2013) cemented Sony's dominance of the eighth console generation, with a library exceeding 30,000 titles once indie and digital-only releases are counted. Most PS4 games remain affordable for collectors, but limited physical print runs — particularly from smaller publishers and later in the console's life cycle — are starting to see steady price increases as digital storefronts eventually wind down support.

Gamevaro tracks Verdun for PlayStation 4 with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.

Adding Verdun to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This PS4 release dates back to 2015.

Rarity & condition

Only a handful of market sales have been tracked for Verdun, suggesting it doesn't trade hands very often — a sign of relative scarcity compared to more common PlayStation 4 titles.

Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
