About this game
Hammerwatch is a top-down action role-playing dungeon crawler game where a character ventures into Castle Hammerwatch to fight through hordes of creatures with Gauntlet -inspired gameplay.
There are four character types: Paladin (emphasis on melee combat), Wizard (powerful but short-range magic), Ranger (long-range combat with a bow), Warlock (a hybrid of melee and magic); each class provides its own challenges.

There is no save anytime feature available, instead, checkpoints must be found while playing then activated by stepping on them; subsequent reloads will be from the last activated checkpoint.
There are plenty of items and treasures to find: smash open barrels for coins, rare items or the occasional timed explosion.
Vendor coins are used to reduce the cost of purchases by a small amount.
Secret areas contain puzzles or shortcuts to later floors.
Enemies abound in large numbers: bats that fly in hordes, worms that spit poison (the effect lasts a few seconds), and expect to run into large boss enemies.
There are three levels of difficulty available, plus the player may choose to enable 3 crutches (i.e. infinite lives) and/or 6 challenges (i.e. magic doesn't regenerate) to make the game as easy or unbeatable as the player wants.
Also included are a level editor and cooperative gameplay with support for 4 players locally or over the internet.
About PlayStation 5
Launched in late 2020, the PlayStation 5 introduced ultra-fast SSD loading and ray tracing to mainstream console gaming. It's still early in its collecting life cycle, but the Digital Edition (no disc drive) has already created a meaningful split in the market between disc-based and digital-only PS5 owners — something collectors should keep in mind when comparing prices for the "same" game.
Gamevaro tracks Hammerwatch II for PlayStation 5 with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Hammerwatch II to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This PS5 release dates back to 2023.

Market insights
Rarity & condition
Only a handful of market sales have been tracked for Hammerwatch II, suggesting it doesn't trade hands very often — a sign of relative scarcity compared to more common PlayStation 5 titles.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
