Culdcept II
Sega Dreamcast · 2001
About this game
Culdcept is a hybrid board/card game where the objective is to generate the most mana before making it back to the castle.
Each player starts out with a deck of 50 cards.

Card types range from monster cards (e.g.
Skeleton), which are used to accumulate territory on the board to increase your mana; Equipment (e.g.
Chain Mail), which will boost your monsters' abilities when they battle; and Magic (e.g.
Holy Word 0), which can be used to help you or hinder the other players on the board.
When a player lands on another player's monster, he/she can challenge it to a battle in an attempt to take over the territory.
If the attacker wins, he/she gets the space on the board and additional mana.
There are more than sixteen different game boards, each with different rules and layouts (such as the maximum number on dice rolls, the elements on the board, etc.)
About Sega Dreamcast
Sega's final console, the Dreamcast (1998/1999), was ahead of its time with built-in internet connectivity and an influential library, but a short commercial lifespan cut its game catalog short. That abrupt end means Dreamcast print runs were smaller across the board than a longer-lived console would have had, and it's now one of the more actively collected fifth/sixth-generation systems specifically because of that scarcity.
Gamevaro tracks Culdcept II for Sega Dreamcast with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Culdcept II to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This DC release dates back to 2001.

Market insights
Rarity & condition
Culdcept II has a steady sales history on the tracked marketplaces, meaning enough copies circulate to establish a reliable market price.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
