One day he accidentally touches a mirror in an abandoned building near the school.
At this moment, the school becomes infested with monsters.
Hikaru and his sister have no choice but to fight the monsters and to find out the connection to the hero's mysterious dreams.
Izumo is a standard Japanese RPG with extensive portions of "digital novel", in which the player views events displayed as anime-style still shots, occasionally making a decision.
The main part of the gameplay - RPG - consists of navigating the party of heroes through the dungeon and fighting random enemies in turn-based combat viewed from isometric perspective.
The camera can be rotated 180 degrees during exploration.
The characters have elemental affinities and can learn various types of elemental magic.
The game contains some images with nudity and sexual situations.
About Sega Dreamcast
Sega's final console, the Dreamcast (1998/1999), was ahead of its time with built-in internet connectivity and an influential library, but a short commercial lifespan cut its game catalog short. That abrupt end means Dreamcast print runs were smaller across the board than a longer-lived console would have had, and it's now one of the more actively collected fifth/sixth-generation systems specifically because of that scarcity.
Gamevaro tracks Izumo for Sega Dreamcast with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Izumo to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This DC release dates back to 2004.

Market insights
Rarity & condition
Izumo has a steady sales history on the tracked marketplaces, meaning enough copies circulate to establish a reliable market price.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
