About this game
Marginal is a Japanese adult visual novel about a young man who must adjust to living with several maids upon inheriting a country mansion.
The player takes on the role of Azana Tenshouin, a young man who has been living with his grandfather since his parents died when he was young.

When his grandfather is about to die, he gives Shio the title deed and key to a mansion in the countryside.
While at first Azana assumes the place is abandoned, it turns out to be occupied by five maids who claim that they have been waiting for him.
When a shrine maiden also stumbles onto the mansion, Azana must adjust to living with all six women.
As the player chooses the characters they want to meet and the places they want to go three times a day (in "daytime," "evening," and "night" phases), events occur and the story progresses.
The goal is to become friends with the girls in the mansion within the span of one week, and ultimately enter into a romantic relationship with one of them.
The Dreamcast and PlayStation 2 versions lack the adult content, but include a story route for Miraluka as well as two bonus images which can be viewed after completing all routes.
The PS2 version's completion images are different to the Dreamcast version's.
About Sega Dreamcast
Sega's final console, the Dreamcast (1998/1999), was ahead of its time with built-in internet connectivity and an influential library, but a short commercial lifespan cut its game catalog short. That abrupt end means Dreamcast print runs were smaller across the board than a longer-lived console would have had, and it's now one of the more actively collected fifth/sixth-generation systems specifically because of that scarcity.
Gamevaro tracks Marginal for Sega Dreamcast with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Marginal to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This DC release dates back to 2003.

Market insights
Rarity & condition
Marginal has a steady sales history on the tracked marketplaces, meaning enough copies circulate to establish a reliable market price.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
