Exploring the abandoned building, the hero discovers the research staff died under mysterious circumstances.
Was this a murder committed by a human being, or some sort of an unknown evil force? The hero does not have much time to think, since whatever took the lives of the scientists also threatens to murder them...
Like its predecessor, the game is a hybrid of Japanese and Western adventure styles.
The player navigates the protagonist around the facility over an isometric map, entering rooms and exploring them.
In many places there are traps that should be avoided, and puzzles to solve.
Most puzzles involves finding and manipulating inventory items.
Some puzzles have multiple solutions, and sometimes the solutions the player chooses lead to different endings.
Like in many other Japanese adventures, multiple endings also depend on the protagonist's behavior towards the girls who are trapped with him.
Sosei are timed sequences, during which the player's inability to act quickly might lead to a premature end.
About Sega Dreamcast
Sega's final console, the Dreamcast (1998/1999), was ahead of its time with built-in internet connectivity and an influential library, but a short commercial lifespan cut its game catalog short. That abrupt end means Dreamcast print runs were smaller across the board than a longer-lived console would have had, and it's now one of the more actively collected fifth/sixth-generation systems specifically because of that scarcity.
Gamevaro tracks Revive for Sega Dreamcast with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Revive to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This DC release dates back to 1999.

Market insights
Rarity & condition
Revive has a steady sales history on the tracked marketplaces, meaning enough copies circulate to establish a reliable market price.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
